Industrial heritage
The former Cristalerías Planell was a prominent artistic glass factory in the first half of the twentieth century. It now serves as a civic centre following a renovation that blends the original 1913 modernist façade, designed by Josep Graner, with a new bioclimatic structure. The project features solar chimneys and internal courtyards that naturally regulate ventilation and temperature. This fusion of heritage and sustainability represents a new approach to repurposing industrial architecture.
