The Torre de les Aigües del Tibidabo, built in 1905, is a modernista brick and iron water tower perched on the mountainside. This slender structure was designed to supply drinking water to the amusement park and the grand houses of the uptown district. Its neo-Gothic silhouette, with a dome and arches reminiscent of a Central European castle, makes its original purpose almost impossible to guess. From its base, the city stretches out broadly towards the horizon.

This is good to know

To take in the views, access to the area around the tower is included in the panoramic zone of Parc del Tibidabo, where admission is free for strolling. However, access to the interior of the tower may be subject to specific restrictions.
