Exhibition room with hanging works. Two stand out: a partial portrait of an elderly person and a vase with flowers in a naive style made with mosaic.

BAS Museum brings urban art into a museum setting without simply turning it into a collection of reproductions. It displays more than 35 original, large-scale studio works created specifically for the space. The collection brings together local and international artists, including Okuda, Aryz, Felipe Pantone, OsGêmeos, Vhils and Javier Mariscal, alongside emerging artists. Rather than trying to tame street art, the museum offers a different setting in which to appreciate it and gain a better understanding of what it expresses beyond the street.

This is good to know

The exhibition is arranged across seven themed rooms, exploring subjects ranging from irony and social criticism to memory, place, popular culture and creative play. Rather than following artistic styles, the exhibition takes visitors through a series of ideas.
The temporary exhibitions change roughly every six weeks, and admission is free. Another reason to come back and discover something different.
The visit takes around 40 minutes. It's worth booking ahead during school holidays and public holidays to avoid having to wait.
