The Centre de Cultura Contemporània de Barcelona is a multidisciplinary space that explores key questions in contemporary society through art and ideas. In the heart of El Raval, the former Casa de la Caritat, an 18th-century architectural complex that has been restored, hosts exhibitions and activities that engage with the present. The building combines its historic structure with contemporary interventions, including the glass structure designed by Viaplana and Piñón, which opens the centre onto the inner courtyard. From science and literature to digital installations, the CCCB supports creative practice with a critical outlook and hosts a range of festivals.
