Plaça de Catalunya Barcelona Tourist Information Office

This office offers a loan service for traffic light activation controls, which is provided with a deposit. These controls work on request and activate the acoustic signaling of the traffic lights. They are also used to obtain information about the city bus network and to locate the entrance of certain buildings and facilities.
A tactile and braille map of the Barcelona Metro lines is available.
This information point also has a general city brochure in braille titled Easy Barcelona. Available in Spanish and English.
Some lists and information can be printed in large print. If you need this service, please ask the staff.
There is also a shop where you can buy souvenir items with representative shapes of Barcelona.
Guide dogs are allowed.

The information desk is equipped with a hearing-loop system. Individual neckloop induction devices are also available on loan. This sound-amplification system can be used with the Bus Turístic audio guide and the radio guide used on Walking Tours. A deposit or credit-card pre-authorisation is required to borrow these devices.

Instructions for using the neckloop induction device:
1. Place the induction-loop device around your neck.
2. Connect the induction loop to the audio-guide system.
3. Set your hearing aid to the T position.

Since the office is underground, there is a stairlift platform for wheelchair access.
This installation is located at one of the two entrances, the one closest to Portal de l'Àngel.
Please ask the office staff in advance to operate it for you.
