The Delta del Llobregat is a protected natural area where biodiversity thrives just a short distance from the city. Between reflections on the water, reed beds, dunes and coastal paths, the landscape changes quietly: first a wetland full of birds, then a pine forest, and further on a beach with native vegetation... It can be explored on foot or by bike, with the chance to spot flamingos in season and discover a quieter, greener and wilder side of Barcelona than you might expect.

It is worth following the paths around the wetlands with binoculars and a little patience: more than 350 bird species have been recorded in the Delta del Llobregat.
