Casa Fuster marked the end of Modernisme in Barcelona. The final masterpiece of Lluís Domènech i Montaner, it stands on the elegant Passeig de Gràcia. From the outside, it already feels like a museum in itself, its blend of structural restraint and decorative exuberance giving it its distinctive character. The façade, in pale stone and white marble, with floral motifs and trilobed windows, bears the name of Consol Fabra, who received the building as a gift of love. Inside, neo-Gothic details climb the columns and mouldings up to the attic. Today, its terrace, piano bar and lounges make it a lively setting where art and atmosphere continue to unfold.

This is good to know

Beyond its splendid façade, Casa Fuster conceals a paradox: it was one of the first buildings in Barcelona to combine white marble with limestone. A nod to tradition and modernity that, in its day, prompted more than a few comments among the local bourgeoisie.
If you’re feeling bold, head up to the hotel’s rooftop terrace for a drink at sunset. Up there, Barcelona feels intimate.
At Casa Fuster, elegance is not a thing of the past: even today, it serves as a film location, a fashion backdrop and a refuge for artists. Because here, art is not hidden – it’s on display.
