The building of the Official College of Physicians of Barcelona is a rationalist work from 1968 that explores a freer interpretation of the movement. It consists of geometric volumes that are offset and layered, appearing to balance delicately. The façade combines materials and textures according to each section, with wood playing a prominent role. The project brought contemporary European trends to Barcelona at a time still marked by isolation, doing so by moving beyond the rigid modernist language towards a more liberated and expressive approach.

This is good to know

It conceals a Ground Floor Auditorium and, at the top, a Panoramic Room with open views of Barcelona and access to a terrace.
