The entire Pallars Street complex stands as one of the most genuine examples of post-war housing in Poblenou. It is arranged in blocks divided by staircases, a design element that sets the rhythm of the façade and organises the whole, while also enhancing ventilation and natural light. Conceived as affordable homes for workers, it employs simple materials and techniques alongside an architecture focused on the essentials. The project manages to integrate naturally into an environment then defined by industrial activity.

This is good to know

This complex was awarded the FAD Prize in 1959, establishing itself as a landmark of modernity in Barcelona.
