Sea and beaches
Stretching over 420 metres, Platja de Sant Miquel is one of the city’s oldest urban beaches, right next to the Barceloneta neighbourhood. Life here shifts with the seasons: in summer, the murmur of the waves mingles with paddle games and beach volleyball matches; in winter, the sand becomes a place for leisurely strolls and reading in the sun. Yet it is one of those spots that is never truly empty – there is always someone wandering among the palm trees, eyes turned to the sea.
