The Fira de San Ponç is a traditional open-air market that fills the Raval with sweet aromas and fresh plants every 11 May. Dozens of stalls run by herbalists, beekeepers and artisans offer preserves, honey, medicinal herbs and handmade sweets prepared using traditional methods. Walking through its streets is like following a trail of natural knowledge passed down through generations. Here, shopping is unhurried, conversations flow with those who grow and produce, and the changing season is marked much as it was in the past.

This is good to know

Honey sweets and petal preserves are no ordinary treats – they are remedy recipes passed down through generations.
Many locals take the opportunity to stock up on “miraculous” herbs; shopping at the San Ponç Fair is said to bring good health throughout the year.
Alongside the market, masses and blessings are held, offering visitors a chance to discover some of the Raval’s lesser-known parish churches.
