Torre Mapfre is one of the most recognisable skyscrapers on Barcelona’s skyline. Located in the Port Olímpic, it rises to 154 metres and, together with the Hotel Arts tower, defines the city’s modern silhouette against the Mediterranean. Built for the 1992 Olympic Games, its functional design reflects late 20th-century corporate architecture. The glass façade, bright and geometric, changes colour with the light. Inside are office spaces, including Mapfre’s headquarters, the KBr photography centre and commercial units at ground level.

This is good to know

For years it was one of the tallest buildings in Barcelona, marking the city’s new skyline.
On the roof of Torre Mapfre there is an emergency helipad.
The building is used entirely for offices and its upper floors are not generally open to visitors.
