The Can Calopa de Dalt farmhouse, set in the heart of the Collserola hills, opens its doors to mark the traditional festival of the vine and wine. Each year, the Festa de Primavera Can Calopa invites visitors to explore the flavours of the surrounding landscape: local wines and simple, seasonal fare enjoyed among the vineyards and woodland. The setting hosts activities for all ages, including workshops, walks and leisurely lunches. It offers an authentic chance to discover the project’s social farming model, over a glass of wine and relaxed conversation.

This is good to know

The vineyards at Can Calopa are the only ones still producing wine within Barcelona’s city limits. From their lush terraces, the city feels transformed, and the concrete recedes into the distance.
Here, more than grapes are grown. The L’Olivera cooperative, which manages the project, provides employment opportunities for people with disabilities. Each glass supports two causes: the land and social inclusion.
Sample the organic wines and oils, and be sure to ask about the “experimental” labels – they often conceal gems you won’t find in any bar in the Eixample.
Can Calopa champions tranquillity and local produce. Perhaps the city’s greatest luxury is to spend a few hours here, among the vines and mountain scents, only twenty minutes from the city centre.
