With over 8,000 hectares of protected Mediterranean vegetation and wildlife, Parc de Collserola is Barcelona’s great green lung. Its dirt paths wind through pine and holm oak forests and cultivated fields, offering space for running, cycling or quiet walks. Just 15 minutes from the city, you’ll find viewpoints over the sea, remains of an Iberian settlement, medieval castles, Romanesque churches and even a small nature centre. It’s both an everyday escape and an easy place to get away from the city. Collserola isn’t just somewhere you visit: you explore it, breathe it in and remember it.

This is good to know

The Information Centre does more than provide information: at night, it turns into a small observatory, hosting Astronomy Nights that invite you to look up with fresh eyes.
In spring, Collserola feels almost like a natural stage, with cyclists, runners and over 1,000 plant species sharing the landscape with those who take the time to slow down.
On weekday evenings at dusk, you can cycle up to the hidden bunkers near the Carretera de les Aigües in the Sant Pere Màrtir area. From there, you get wide views over the city and a different perspective on its history.
